What are OneBox terms and conditions?

By confirming this request, you agree and allow comGateway to discard or cut external packing materials to reduce volumetric weight. This may affect its eligibility for Returns, depending on the merchant's policies. We do not guarantee that all your items will fit in one container, but trust that our expert warehouse team will put them in the least number of boxes or polybags without compromising its safety during international delivery. This process cannot be undone and is irreversible. OneBox package(s) is not eligible to be split into multiple packages. Processing will take up to 2 business days to complete. However, depending on the complexity of your instructions, additional processing days may be needed. We cannot guarantee that all additional instructions will be carried out. If OneBox is not feasible on your selected packages, we’ll notify you and payment will be refunded.

What are insurance fees?

Accepted Answer

Every international shipment is automatically insured by comGateway against loss or damage.

Insurance costs 1.5% of your total charges to comGateway, which includes:

Item cost (as declared)

U.S. domestic shipping (for BuyForMe orders)

International shipping

Fuel surcharge

Remote area surcharge, if applicable

🔒 Coverage is limited to USD $5,000

If something is lost or damaged, compensation is based on:

The declared value of your goods

U.S. domestic shipping (BuyForMe only)

International shipping from the U.S. to your delivery address

What happens if my package is held at customs or rejected at the destination?

Accepted Answer

If your package is held by your country’s customs authority, the courier (DHL or FedEx) will typically:

Notify you directly about the issue

Request any necessary documents or payments (e.g. duties, invoices, ID)

You’ll need to follow your courier’s instructions to clear the package. If customs rejects or returns your package, here’s what happens:

The courier may attempt to return the package to comGateway’s U.S. address (if possible)

You may be charged for return shipping costs

If the package is confiscated by customs, a refund is not possible

🚫 Customs clearance issues are outside comGateway’s control. Always ensure your shipment complies with local import laws to avoid delays or seizure.

What is the consolidation service?

Accepted Answer

Consolidation, repack and storage are services we offer at your U.S. Address. Use these services (if applicable) to save on international shipping. Manage these services (if applicable) in My Packages

Have two or more packages you want to ship internationally?

Consolidation lets you ship multiple packages from your U.S. address together as one international shipment. This helps you save on shipping costs by avoiding duplicate base charges.

📦 Instead of shipping each box separately (and paying multiple base rates), we combine your packages into one shipment.

Select to ship them all at the same time to save on shipping costs (this will count as one shipment). Shipping them separately will cost much more than combining them together into one shipment.

Why does consolidation save money?

The base charge (for the first 0.5kg) is always higher than the per-0.5kg rate that follows.

So if you ship three packages separately, you pay the base charge three times.

But if you consolidate them into one shipment, you only pay the base charge once.

Consolidation details:

Consolidate up to 3 packages per shipment for free

Additional packages cost $1 each

Prime members get unlimited free consolidation

You can consolidate up to 15 packages in a single shipment

When is consolidation not a savings option?

Some countries charge taxes based on the total value of a shipment.
If combining packages pushes your total over a tax-free threshold, it may cost more in duties.

Always check your country’s import tax rules before consolidating.

Can you buy the item for me when the online store does not accept my international credit card?

Accepted Answer

Yes we can! Simply follow these steps to place your BuyForMe order with us.

Login to your account and click on Buy For Me on your dashboard or BFM Orders in your sidebar. Then click on BuyForMe Cart.
A BuyForMe form will appear. Fill in your order details. You may fill in as many items as you wish from the same merchant
We will place your order(s), checkout and pay the merchant. Your shopping will be sent to your U.S. Address
We will send you an email once we have placed your order(s)
If you wish to shop from another online store, please fill out a new BuyForMe form. Please note that we require one form (regardless of the items required) for separate merchants.
Your packages have arrived at your U.S. Address. What's next!Receive an email from us 1-2 days after your packages arrive with details includingYou can also view your packages at your Dashboard Only when your packages arrive, will we be able to inform you of the international shipping weight and other applicable fees.
